Celtic stars, Cassie and Maggie MacDonald to shine at The Oswego Music Hall Saturday, Nov. 19

The Oswego Music Hall has announced a concert featuring the Celtic Duo, Cassie and Maggie MacDonald. These rising stars will shine on the music hall stage located at the McCrobie Building, 41 Lake St., Oswego. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. event. Advance sale tickets are available for $16 and at the door for $18.

Together these sisters bring more than the average fiddle and piano duo; Cassie is an award winning highland and step dancer and also sings harmony for Maggie. In addition to her piano playing, Maggie sings lead, plays guitar, banjo, and accordion and is also an accomplished step dancer. Their music fits together seamlessly encompassing various styles. Their vocal harmonies are sweet yet powerful and their step dancing exact and exciting.

The second Hook Series of the season will take place on Dec. 9. “The Hook” highlights the talents of three regional singer/songwriters in an intimate round robin setting allowing the performers an opportunity to interact with the audience, the other artists and discuss their creative process. Local favorite John McConnell will cohost the event with Syracuse luminaries Charley Orlando and Bea.

The music hall has been run entirely by volunteers from its inception over 39 years ago. Volunteers can earn admission to shows through different tasks.
